So, the Oberlin Folk Fest was this last weekend. IT WAS AWESOME! It featured as headliners Girlyman, The Duhks, Sean Hayes, and the Sweetback Sisters. Three of whom are featured on the show this week. We didn't have The Sweetback Sisters on it because we were unaware of how AWESOME they are. They were really, really good, and we might go ahead and feature them more often.
All of the acts were amazing and delightful. And it's hard to not be in awe of their ridiculous brilliance.
Speaking of brilliance....(Who brought a segue?)
Next Thursday at 9am on wobc.org or 91.5fm, we will be having a special guest. He played at Folk Fest and was quite spectacular. Mr. Greg Connuck will be on the show. Stay tuned, people. This only gets more exciting.
P.S. Sophie and I are the Folk Directors for WOBC next year, so only excellent folk programming will persist.
